INZ Launches New Accreditation Status Check Tool for Migrants
Immigration New Zealand has launched a new tool that empowers migrants to verify if an employer holds accredited status.
The new tool allows users to check if an employer is currently accredited or not. This is particularly useful for individuals who:
- Are applying for a job that necessitates working for an accredited employer.
- Already possess a visa that requires them to work for an accredited employer, and are looking to switch jobs.
- Is the partner of an AEWV holder whose Work Visa stipulates employment must with an accredited employer
The types of visas that require you to work for an accredited employer include the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV), the Partner of a Worker Work Visa, and the Green List categories Straight to Residence Visa, Residence from Work Visa and Skilled Residence: Highly Paid.
To utilise this tool, users must have identifiable information about the employer, such as their New Zealand Business Number (NZBN), company name, or trading name.
Users should be aware that this database is updated as employers join the accreditation programme or renew their accreditation status.
Some employers have opted not to be published in the search results. So, If an employer is not listed, you should inquire directly with the employer about their accreditation status.
The accredited list information is updated on a weekly basis. The most recent update was on 29 May 2023.
You can access the new accreditation status check tool here.
